The fourth MENA Golf Tour event has launched at the Madinaty Golf Club as part of the Egypt Golf Series, featuring strong participation from elite regional and international players.
The opening round of the competition saw Spain’s Juan Salama take the lead by establishing a new course record, carding a 10-under-par 60. Salama currently holds a four-stroke lead over defending champion Jack Davidson, who ended the day in second place with a score of 6-under-par 64.
A group of four players are tied for third place following the initial day of play: Gaston Bertinotti of Argentina, Owen Edwards of Wales, Tim Tillmanns of Germany, and Ludovico Addabbo of Italy. Officials noted the tournament represents a significant fixture in the MENA Golf Tour seasonal rankings.
The event, which carries a total prize fund of $100,000, is scheduled to continue until Thursday, Nov 5. It marks the fourth stop for the MENA Tour within the Egypt Golf Series, an initiative aimed at providing a platform for professional development and growth within the region.
