Wisconsin football landed a commitment from Oklahoma transfer wide receiver Zion Kearney on Sunday evening.
Kearney entered the portal earlier this month following two years with the Sooners. He originally joined the program as a four-star recruit in the class of 2024; he was 247Sports’ No. 91 player and No. 17 wide receiver in the class. The top-100 recruit appeared in 16 games during his time at Oklahoma. He tallied 128 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman in 2024, before recording just two catches for 31 yards as a sophomore in 2025.
The Missouri City, Texas, native joins the Badgers with two years of eligibility remaining. 247Sports currently ranks him as the No. 914 overall player and No. 154 wide receiver in the portal.
Kearney is Wisconsin’s 31st transfer commitment of the cycle. He’s one of four wide receivers committed to the group, along with Malachi Coleman (Minnesota), Shamar Rigby (Oklahoma State) and Jaylon Domingeaux (Southeastern Louisiana). Those new additions will get a chance to make an immediate impact, as Wisconsin lost its top three leading receivers following the 2025 season.
