When Houston Christian takes the field Saturday in San Antonio, it’ll be tough for the Huskies to top what they did last weekend.
HCU (2-1, 1-0 Southand) is coming off a single-game scoring record in an 88-0 romp over Arkansas Baptist in which the Huskies led 62-0 at halftime and had a program-record six sacks while allowing just 116 yards.
This week’s game against Incarnate Word (1-1) is an opportunity for the Huskies to beat the Southland rival Cardinals for the first time. UIW has won all 11 meetings in the series, with six of the wins coming in San Antonio.
