Accuracy and Verification
We verify facts using multiple reliable sources whenever possible. Reporters must confirm key claims, seek official comment when appropriate, and correct errors promptly and transparently. Corrections are published conspicuously and linked to the original piece.
Independence
Oman Talks maintains editorial independence from political, commercial and institutional influences. Our newsroom makes editorial decisions free from advertiser or partisan direction. Where potential conflicts exist (e.g., commercial partnerships), they are disclosed.
Impartiality and Balance
We present information fairly and seek to include multiple relevant perspectives. Opinion and analysis are clearly identified and separated from news reporting. We do not allow newsroom bias to shape factual news coverage.
Transparency

We cite primary sources, documents and official records where available. When using third-party content (photos, video, data), we ensure rights and proper attribution. Plagiarism is grounds for dismissal.

Opinion pieces reflect the views of the author and not the newsroom. We publish a diversity of viewpoints while ensuring clear labeling and editorial oversight.
Photography & Visual Content
Images must be accurate representations of events. Manipulated images that mislead readers are prohibited. Captions identify where and when photos were taken and credit photographers.
Sponsored Content
Sponsored and branded content is clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not influence editorial outcomes.
Public Engagement
We encourage reader feedback and engagement. Letters, comments, and tipped information are vetted and, where appropriate, incorporated into reporting.
