Oceania Cruises Introduces an Expansive Around-the-World Voyage as Oceania Vista Focuses on Cultural Immersion and Historic Destinations

Oceania Cruises has unveiled a remarkable new adventure with the launch of the Oceania Vista, its state-of-the-art 2023-built ship, departing from PortMiami to begin a 180-day “Around the World” journey. Replacing the Oceania Insignia for this landmark circumnavigation, the Vista introduces a new era of world cruising, combining luxury accommodations with immersive cultural experiences at every stop.

The voyage, which set sail on January 6, 2026, will span six continents and include 101 ports, offering travelers an unparalleled chance to explore the globe. The itinerary stretches from the vibrant cities and islands of Southeast Asia and Australia to the idyllic landscapes of the South Pacific, the historic capitals of Europe, and the diverse regions of South America. Additional stops include California, Mexico, the Mediterranean, India, Northern Europe, and the British Isles, providing passengers with a comprehensive global perspective.

A centerpiece of the itinerary is the inclusion of 80 UNESCO World Heritage sites, offering passengers the opportunity to engage with some of the most historically and culturally significant locations worldwide. The cruise also features 11 overnight stays in iconic destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Papeete, and Bali. Multi-day stays in Singapore, Phuket, Mumbai, Dubai, Safaga, and Bordeaux allow travelers to immerse themselves fully in local cultures, historical landmarks, and scenic surroundings, creating memories that extend far beyond a typical port visit.

The journey is designed to provide a balanced mix of onboard comfort and onshore adventure. Passengers can enjoy curated complimentary events at select destinations, highlighting regional traditions, cuisine, and artistry. For those seeking deeper exploration, optional multi-day overland excursions provide opportunities to experience destinations more thoroughly, from remote archaeological sites and bustling local markets to natural wonders and iconic monuments. This ensures that each stop offers both breadth and depth, appealing to travelers who value discovery alongside leisure.

The Oceania Vista is a 67,000-ton vessel accommodating 1,200 guests and represents a new class in the cruise line’s fleet. Constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the ship entered service in 2023 and offers a premium cruising experience. Its design blends elegance, comfort, and modern amenities, including 11 dining venues and eight bars, lounges, and entertainment venues. Guests can enjoy an array of culinary options, live entertainment, wellness facilities, and luxurious accommodations, all while traveling in sophisticated surroundings.

After completing its inaugural six-month journey, the Oceania Vista is scheduled to return to PortMiami on July 6, 2026. The cruise line has already announced a second 180-day world voyage for January 2027, featuring a new itinerary that will visit over 100 destinations across 46 countries. This upcoming circumnavigation will include over two months of sailing in Asia and visits to more than 150 UNESCO World Heritage sites, further emphasizing Oceania Cruises’ commitment to culturally rich and immersive global travel.

This voyage highlights the evolution of luxury cruising, where journeys are designed to combine relaxation, cultural enrichment, and personalized experiences. Guests can explore vibrant cities, historic landmarks, and breathtaking natural landscapes while enjoying the comfort of a modern, well-appointed ship. Extended port stays and thoughtfully curated excursions ensure that passengers have time to experience each destination fully, fostering meaningful engagement with the places they visit.

By integrating luxury accommodations with globally inspired itineraries and immersive cultural programs, the Oceania Vista sets a new benchmark for modern world cruising. Passengers are offered a rare combination of adventure, education, and relaxation, all within a single, seamless voyage. From tropical islands to ancient cities, the ship allows travelers to experience the richness and diversity of the world in an unparalleled way.

With this maiden global journey, the Oceania Vista establishes itself as a trailblazer in luxury cruises, redefining how travelers circumnavigate the globe. The ship’s combination of over 100 destinations, immersive cultural experiences, and onboard elegance ensures that every journey is more than a cruise—it is a transformative adventure across the world’s most captivating locations.
