A new long-haul air connection is scheduled to link Central Europe and East Asia later this year, as STARLUX Airlines prepares to begin nonstop operations between Prague and Taipei. The service is positioned as the carrier’s first entry into the European market and is expected to expand long-distance travel options for international tourists moving between the two regions.
Operations are set to commence on 1 August, marking a significant addition to intercontinental travel capacity from Prague. The route has been structured to appeal primarily to leisure travelers while also supporting broader international movement through Taipei, which functions as a major Asian gateway within the airline’s network.
Flight frequency, schedule, and aircraft details
The Prague–Taipei route will initially operate three times per week. Departures from Prague have been scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. From October, frequency will increase with the addition of a fourth weekly flight, extending services to Mondays as well. This adjustment reflects a planned capacity increase during the latter part of the year.
The flights will be operated using an Airbus A350-900 configured in a four-class layout. A total of 306 seats will be available across First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy. Premium Economy seating will be available on this route from launch, positioned between the business and economy cabins.
According to the published schedule, the Prague-to-Taipei service will depart at 10:20 local time and arrive the following day at 05:10. The return flight from Taipei will depart at 00:10 and arrive in Prague at 07:50 local time. All times have been provided in local time formats for each airport.
