After sweeping Campbell in the first round of the College Station Regional, the Texas A&M Aggies will face the TCU Horned Frogs at Reed Arena on Saturday night.
The No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, led by head coach Jamie Morrison, will look to defend its home court and advance one step closer against a talented Horned Frogs’ program, which swept Stephen F. Austin on Friday afternoon. Texas A&M’s elite offensive attack performed lights-out in the sweep of the Camels, as Morrison’s squad hit .417 percent, which set a new record for hitting percentage in a three-set match during the rally-scoring era.
Logan Lednicky led the charge with 18 kills at .654 percent, which moved her to fourth in all-time kills at Texas A&M. Emily Hellmuth’s 10 kills at .667 percent, combined with Lednicky’s outstanding performance, shattered the record for hitting percentage in a three-set postseason match.
The Aggies will look to maintain their momentum by taking down the Horned Frogs and advancing in the NCAA Tournament in their first time hosting a regional at Reed Arena since 2019.
