Alessandro Costa is more than a grappler.
At UFC Fight Night 272, Costa (15-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC) proved that – and Stewart Nicoll found it out the hard way. Costa finished Nicoll (8-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) with a big left hook to the body for a TKO stoppage at 4:56 of Round 2 of their flyweight prelim fight Saturday at Meta APEX.

Despite his BJJ foundation, Brazil’s Costa has three TKOs in as many UFC wins. He’s alternated losses and wins over the span of his six-fight UFC tenure. Australia’s Nicoll still seeks his first UFC win after three attempts.
