On this episode of CFE Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey break down the first official College Football Playoff rankings release of the season and what the committee’s initial board signals for the rest of the bracket.
From there, Ross Dellenger joins and the guys preview a massive clash between Miami and Notre Dame. Is Shannon Dawson’s group truly the best offense in the country and can Notre Dame’s playoff résumé survive compared to a two- or three-loss SEC squad?
To round out the show, the crew dives into the coaching carousel as Mike Norvell is officially out at Florida State. Is Tallahassee still an elite destination? Could an Eli Drinkwitz-style program builder be the target, and would FSU consider an unexpected reunion with Manny Diaz?
