LUBBOCK – University of Houston defensive lineman Carmello Brooks was arrested Thursday on charges he assaulted a pregnant woman, according to a police report.
Brooks, a sophomore from Katy, was arrested at the Cullen Oaks apartment by university police.
He has been suspended and did not make the trip with the team for Friday’s game against No. 13 Texas Tech.
